On each side of the spearhead is the image of a shrike. It once belonged to Bloody Sara, an infamous pirate. This is a magical weapon that gives you a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls you make with it. When you hit a creature with the spear, you can choose to impale the target, leaving the barbed spear in the target. At the start of each of the impaled target's turns, the target bleeds heavily, takes 1d6 piercing damage, and its speed is reduced by 10 feet until the start of its next turn. A creature can use its action to remove the spear from the target, which deals 2d6 piercing damage to the target. If you are within 60 feet of the spear, you can use a bonus action to call the spear, which flies to your empty hand. As an action, you can use the pick to dig out a 5-foot high, 5-foot wide, 1-foot deep section of unworked stone. The stone that was in that space immediately shatters into gravel. Albert's Hat Treasure This hat, made from green silk over an inner layer of leather, holds a shape that is popular with many wizards: a conical upper portion with a slight bend to it, surrounded by a wide brim. The underside of the brim has various runes stitched into it with silvery thread that, when read even with the help of magic, don't actually have any known meaning. The inside of the hat has two overlapping pieces of dark black fabric that conceal the space closer to the point of the hat. This hat was once owned by Albert the Magician, a well-known entertainer who performed simple magic tricks for children on street corners. The elderly man's performances always ended with candy appearing from his supposedly empty hat, which he gave to his audience. Some of the children who had been entertained by the magician over the years would go on to become apprentices to local wizards. There were rumors that Albert was actually a powerful wizard himself, as he certainly looked the part. Nobody knew where the magician went or what he did when he wasn't entertaining children in the street. One day, nearly 30 years ago, the town was attacked by a dragon. This hat was left behind when Albert ran toward the commotion. The magician was never seen again. Value: 10 gp to 500 gp

One half of the wood is a little narrower than the rest of it, though there is a wider knob at that end. A strip of leather has been wrapped around the narrowest 1/3 of the wood to form a grip. This is a magical weapon that gives you a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls you make with it. On a hit, the club deals an additional 1d4 fire damage. As a reaction when you are attacked with a thrown or ranged weapon, you can make an attack roll with the club with advantage. If your attack roll is higher than the attacker's, the thrown weapon or ammunition is ignited and reflected back at the attacker. If your attack roll hits the attacker's AC, the attacker takes the damage from the weapon or ammunition, plus 2d4 fire damage. If you place this club in a burning campfire and take a long rest within 10 feet of that fire, you experience pleasant dreams during the rest and wake with 1d4 temporary hit points. The Quiltening story starter Each year, on the day of the autumnal equinox, the small farming village of Battingbrook has a traditional day of celebration of the passage of another year and the approach of winter, which they call Renewal Day. The children of the village call it Fluff Day. For months out of the year, children of the village are tasked with gathering and keeping soft feathers, soft fur, cattail fluff, and dry milkweed seed pods. The evening before Renewal Day, all of the gathered materials are brought to the great hall, a large, indoor gathering place in the center of Battingbrook. On Renewal Day, the people gather together to remove the stuffing and batting from all of the pillows and quilts they possess, then refill those objects with the fresh supply of fluffy, insulating materials gathered by the children. While this is happening, children play games, musicians perform, and the community shares meals together as they prepare for the coming winter. Today is Renewal Day, but there is a disastrous problem. The entire collection of fluffy materials disappeared during the night.

Supernatural Disguise Kit Wondrous item, uncommon This appears to be a typical disguise kit, stocked with the usual assortment of cosmetics, hair dye, and small props that you can use to alter your appearance. Each object within the kit displays a faint green iridescence in bright light. When you use this kit to apply a disguise, which takes 1 minute, you can expend 1 charge from the kit to cast disguise self on yourself or on another humanoid. You determine the target's appearance. The spell's effects last for 8 hours or until the person disguised uses an action to end the spell. The Investigation skill DC to discern that a creature is disguised by this kit is 15. If you use the kit to magically disguise a creature as an undead humanoid, a lycanthrope, a hag, or a fey creature, the Investigation DC is 19. The kit has 7 charges. It is a dark grey in color in bright light but turns silvery and glows with very faint light in dim light or darkness. The amulet is 2 inches across and is 1/4 inch in thickness, and it hangs from a thin silver chain. You always know which direction is north. A window tree grows no more than 20 feet in height and has large, sturdy, oblong leaves that can reach up to 2 feet in width and 4 feet in length. The leaves are relatively thick. Harvested while still green, the leaves of the window tree can be dried flat in the sun for several weeks. Once dried, the outer layers of each leaf can be peeled away, revealing a stiff, transparent material with traces of leaf veining. This material is often secured in window frames, providing a barrier to the elements that allows in large amounts of light. These leaf windows can last up to 5 years before becoming clouded and flaking away. The leaves of the window tree are an affordable alternative to much more expensive glass windows. Hall of Visitors Magical Point of Interest Entering the grand entrance hall to the palace, you find the space is lined on both sides by large, thick panes of glass, behind which are a large variety of people, most of them dressed in fine clothing, standing perfectly still. Next to one of them is an orange-furred cat, which is also motionless. As you gaze at the people, one of the figures nearest the entrance vanishes, and the others on that side of the hall step in that direction to fill in the space. Continuing onward toward the interior of the palace, you hear another person enter the hall behind you. The man, garbed in clothing suited for long hours on horseback, declares himself to be a messenger with an important missive for one of the queen's advisors. When you turn your attention back to reaching your destination within the palace, you witness a new person appear behind the glass on your right. It's the messenger. It's at this moment that, glancing to your left, you come face to face with yourself, standing motionless behind glass. Every detail of your appearance is there, from the pattern in the fabric of your clothing to the barely noticeable freckle on your left hand to the trace of your last meal that you didn't realize was visible on your chin. When you ask one of the palace attendants, you are told that the magic of the hall creates an illusion showing every creature that has passed through the palace entrance in the last 24 hours. Apparently there are some people who visit each day, entertained by the novelty of seeing themselves in a way that isn't a mirror. Created by The Amethyst Dragon.

Any such available laborers make their way to you, bringing the tools of their trade with them. When you use a single crutch to help you move, you do not have disadvantage on Acrobatics checks. When you use both crutches, you have advantage on Acrobatics checks. You can use one or both crutches in combat. Each is a simple melee weapon that is magical, has the Light and Finesse properties, and deals 1d6 bludgeoning damage on a hit. Galahad's Grandfather's Bagpipes Treasure This set of bagpipes is made from ebony and the hide of a sheep. The pipes are decorated with braided ribbons of various colors, and patches and stitches on the bag show it has been skillfully repaired a dozen times. This musical instrument was last owned by Galahad Volfree, an adventurous paladin. Galahad was given the bagpipes by his father, who was given them by his father. The ribbons represent the heraldry of various lands that the bagpipes have been carried through over the years. Galahad was known to practice with the bagpipes at least once each day, often while he and his companions took time to rest after a long march or harsh battle. Unfortunately, Galahad possessed neither the coordination nor the talent to produce actual music with the instrument. One of Galahad's companions, a rogue named Gillian, did discover that her interrogations of bandits and other ne'er-do-wells progressed faster and with better results if she waited to do her questioning until Galahad started his after-battle music practice. Yamana Golden Bonsai Treasure This is a golden needle pine tree that is a miniature replica of a full-grown tree. The needles are a bright yellow in color during 3/4 of the year and are a dark green the remaining months. It is kept in a small, shallow, white ceramic pot filled with soil, pebbles, and bits of dark green moss. This living tree has been kept small through specialized methods of pruning, grafting, and needle trimming, along with specific amounts of sunlight, water, compost, and exposure to the outdoor elements. The has been kept by the Yamana family for at least 400 years. It has been passed down through the generations, with the younger generations always getting at least 10 years of training in how to properly care for the small, yellow tree. While not the only known bonsai, this is the only known example of a golden needle pine bonsai. Value: 20 gp to 10,000 gp Created by The Amethyst Dragon.
Image contains text: Honeycomb Pendant Treasure This is an oval shaped pendant, inside of which is a honeycomb structure. The honeycomb is not perfectly smooth. The back of the pendant is polished and etched with words in Gnomish that translate as, "For my sweetest Honey." The pendant is about 1 1/2 inches tall, 1 inch wide, and 1/2 inch thick. It hangs on a leather cord and weighs 1/4 pound. This golden jewelry was commissioned by a gnome beekeeper named Mellifera Apis. The pendant was formed using real honeycomb in a jewelry making process called wax casting, which exactly reproduces the shape of whatever wax was used in a mold. Made as a gift for Mellifera's wife, Asali, this pendant was both a token of love and a reminder of an interest they both shared. The honeycomb pendant was stolen one night during a goblin raid on the couple's beehives. While fighting off the goblins, one of the raiders cut the pendant from the cord Asali wore it on. It is clearly a teddy bear with a vaguely owl-like head. It is also very worn out, with threadbare fabric, a couple of small patches, a need for new stuffing, and only a single yellow button painted to look like an owl's eye. It is also a little bit dirty. The toy owlbear was originally sewn for a young child named Helena Vithrum by her grandmother. Helena carried the stuffed monster, which she named Hoo, with her everywhere for several years before it mysteriously disappeared. When Helena was a young woman setting out for a life of adventuring, she found the owlbear toy buried with her father's old sword and shield. Hoo joined Helena on her first journeys as a reminder of home. The last time the stuffed owlbear toy was seen by Helena Vithrum, it was traded to a dragon in return for sparing the life of one of her adventuring party. Who Is Orlin Breknib? Treasure This canvas is painted with an unusual portrait. Oil paints depict a highly detailed chamber filled with all manner of painting supplies, curtains, bowls of fruits, and flower bouquets. A large oval mirror with an ornate frame sits on a chair, reflecting the back of an easel and a figure holding a paintbrush. The unframed canvas is stretched on a wooden fram and is 2 feet wide and 3 feet tall. It weighs 2 pounds. The humanoid figure holding the paintbrush in the portrait is completely void of any detail except for its sharp, bright green eyes. The rest of the subject is painted a deep, matte black that absorbs almost all light that touches it.</p> <p>This portrait has tiny white letters painted in the lower right corner that spell out "Who Is Orlin Breknib? - Orlin Breknib." Orlin Breknib was a famous artist who painted exquisitely detailed and flattering portraits of nobles and commoners alike. He never turned down a commission, no matter the price. Orlin worked on portraits on a first-come, first-painted order, so it could take years before he got to a particular individual. He finished each piece with the name of the subject and his own name. When Orlin was 40 years old, he was found dead on the floor of his art studio. This painting was discovered on the easel next to him, along with a small paintbrush that had white paint dried in it. Image contains text: Moist 3rd-level necromancy (curse) Casting Time: 1 action Range: 30 feet Components: V, S, M (1 pint of water, which the spell consumes) Duration: Until dispelled You splash water in the direction of a creature you can see within range and set an annoying curse upon that target. The target creature must make a Charisma saving throw. If it fails, it is cursed with constant moistness. The cursed target sweats constantly and profusely. Its clothing quickly becomes uncomfortably wet. Whenever it touches anything, it leaves a film of sweat behind. While the target remains cursed in this way, it has the following effects: The target must consume twice its normal amount of water each day or else gain 1 level of exhaustion. Any instance of fire damage the target takes is reduced by 1. At the same time, any instance of cold damage the target takes is increased by 1. The target has advantage on Constitution saving throws it makes to avoid exhaustion from being in extremely hot environments but has disadvantage on the same saving throws in extremely cold environments. If the target rolls a 5 or lower on the die for any attack roll or ability check it is making, it drops whatever weapon, tool, or other item it may be holding in its hands or grip. The target has disadvantage on ability checks made to grapple another creature. At the same time, it has advantage on ability checks made to avoid or escape being grappled. The target expends twice as much movement as normal while climbing, and it has disadvantage on any ability checks it makes to maintain its grip or footing while climbing. The Last Fool's Hat Treasure This is a fabric jester's hat that has 3 floppy points, each with a bell on the end. The fabric has clearly been stitched and patched several times, there are dark stains along the bottom edge, and each of the bells shows a different amount of wear and tarnish. This piece of headwear has been used by more than a dozen official court jesters under the rule of five different monarchs. No matter their individual choices in clothing or costume, each jester has been ordered to use this same cap and bells. The hat is both a well-recognized symbol of the wearer's privileged position and a reminder that there are limits to what the monarch may tolerate. Sorcerous Scrivener Conjuration cantrip Casting Time: 1 action Range: 30 feet Components: V, S, M (ink, a writing quill, and one or more blank pieces of parchment) Duration: Concentration, up to 1 hour You summon a fey or fiendish spirit that takes the form of a barely visible duplicate of your current appearance. The magical duplicate uses the quill, ink, and parchment to scribe what you tell it to write down in the language you specify. The duplicate can write in any language you are able to. The scrivener follows you at all times. The only thing it can do is carry writing materials and use them to record your spoken words onto parchment. The sorcerous scrivener has an AC of 5, 1 hit point, and a walking speed of 30 feet. It can take no actions in combat other than writing. It can't move while it is actively writing anything. If you move more than 30 feet from the scrivener, the spell ends. If the writer runs out of ink or available space on the parchment to write legibly, the spell ends. When the spell ends, the summoned scrivener vanishes, dropping any writing materials it was holding. Created by The Amethyst Dragon. The magical duplicate uses the quill, ink, and parchment to scribe what you tell it to write down in the language you specify. The duplicate can write in any language you are able to. The scrivener follows you at all times. The only thing it can do is carry writing materials and use them to record your spoken words onto parchment. The sorcerous scrivener has an AC of 5, 1 hit point, and a walking speed of 30 feet. It can take no actions in combat other than writing. It can't move while it is actively writing anything. If you move more than 30 feet from the scrivener, the spell ends. If the writer runs out of ink or available space on the parchment to write legibly, the spell ends. Deed to Hellingford Manor Treasure At first glance, this appears to be an aged and heavily soiled scrap of parchment that could now likely be used for tinder. Looking closely reveals that the well-made material has faint writing inked onto it, along with half of a faded crest of some sort. When carefully cleaned and examined under bright light, this parchment appears to be the official deed to a property called Hellingford Manor. Multiple bards and writers over the years have told and retold the story of Hellingford Manor, which was the site of a famous series of scandals and murders. The aged Lord Varsooth Hellingford had called his extended family to the noble's large estate and mansion to tell them something of vital importance. As the first family members began to arrive, it was discovered that Varsooth Hellingford had died in his sleep the previous night. The famously cordial Hellingford family, from the deceased lord's adult children to his grandchildren to several of his cousins, immediately began to bicker and scheme over who would inherit the wealth and title held by Varsooth. The drama very quickly involved vocal arguments, revelations of scandalous secrets, conspiring to cut out certain family members, and even fistfights. After three days, one of Varsooth's children was found murdered, and the following day brought the murders of two cousins. The fighting stopped for several hours when Varsooth Hellingford's will was revealed, which bequeathed everything to whoever found the deed to the manor. A furious search for the deed destroyed much of the furniture and decor within the manor, and several people even broke through walls of the place with axes and hammers in search of the deed. The deed was not found, and Hellingford Manor was abandoned. The perpetrators of the murders were never discovered, and the Hellingford family never came together again.
