1/ A thought for a Wednesday (and a little challenge for you). Kim Scott's "Radical Candor" sits on the shelf beside my desk, sticking out with its distinctive red on yellow. It's a book about feedback built on two things: care personally, and challenge directly.

2/ Combine those and you get four styles. Radical Candor, where you do both. Ruinous Empathy, where you care but avoid the hard thing. Obnoxious Aggression, where you challenge without enough care. Manipulative Insincerity, where you do neither.
