A statement from AMPS: A number of our members are concerned about software which aims to move the process of sound editing into the hands of video editors by ‘auto detecting’ where sounds should be placed. While AI has made positive advancements in the craft of sound, aiding our efforts to produce world class soundtracks, we are opposed to companies which try to capitalise on diluting the craft of sound. Hiring a professional who brings experience, taste, judgement, technical knowledge and artistic flair to your project is always a good idea - expecting the same from a plug in is a bad idea.
