There is a hubris associated with dedicated cyclists. They are young, and don't care about the vast majority who cannot bicycle due to age, disability, or even not having learned to bicycle. NO MORE DEDICATED BICYCLE LANES: they do not meet the needs of the vast majority. We have bike lanes on side streets, why not use the existing bike lanes? Why hog the major throughfares for an elite minority?
