I wanted to see Lodi talk to Osiris. I wanted to see Bael have if not a redemption arc at least become less shitty. I wanted to see Caiatl again. I wanted to see the City government turn away from the Guardians and have them find a new way to define themselves without the persistent threat of the Witness. I wanted to see Orin find a new purpose for herself. I wanted to see Crow grow into himself as the Hunter vanguard. I wanted to see Mara get Sjur out of the labyrinth and back into the light. I wanted to see Zavala retire gracefully (with a state marriage to Caiatl). I wanted to see what Savathun was up to.
