Today, we saw the federal government, under Donald Trump, execute yet another legal observer on a residential street in broad daylight in Minneapolis. Alex Pretti, a 37 year old nurse, was executed for defending a woman who was speaking out against a fascist, authoritarian arm of the U.S. President that is invading cities, kidnapping neighbors, detaining children, separating families and murdering innocent people with no regard for the law, and no accountability. We are watching it happen in real time. It doesn’t matter whether you are a Republican or a Democrat, what we are witnessing is the antithesis of the values we say this nation stands for. Every single elected official needs to say it with their full chest - ABOLISH ICE NOW. If they won’t say it publicly and work towards it, they don’t deserve to be in office.
