Lots of traditional German cycling clubs stage big rides each year called "Radtouristikfahrts." In addition to bananas and granloa bars, volunteers at the feed stations serve things you would only find on a German ride, like brown bread with Schweineschmalz (essentially bacon drippings) and pickles.
