Back to this convo, another example: reporting "accused people of vandalizing it" does the work of legitimizing a claim without any evidence; simultaneously there *is* evidence of a corrupt no-bid contact which directly led to the current problems and that's not reported at all. It's a choice

How would you have worded the blurb? Maybe "accused without evidence" perhaps. But it's a blurb. Then the question is - do they add "without evidence" every time someone makes an accusation, unless they come at the outset bringing all the receipts?
