The building held a cozy warmth that somehow felt like Vil, despite it being easier to associate him with chill. And it smelled amazing. Atop the base aroma of tea rode scents of flowers and spices, with hints of things like vanilla and citrus, and just a touch of pine. It wasn’t far from Vil’s scent. Wait. Why did she instantly recognize how he smelled? Had she made a habit of sniffing him without noticing? Of course, she just pressed her face against him a few minutes ago. Not that she was letting herself remember the details of that. Like the mascot peeking from a teacup on the window, a sort of cross between a dragon and a bunny, the shop itself was adorable. Shelves lined the side walls, full of clay canisters. Scattered haphazardly around the shelving area were an array of small tables with colorful tops, all surrounded by padded seats. Beside a door labeled ‘toilet’ ran a long counter with stools dotted along it, separating the public section from the employee areas. On the wall behind said counter hung a series of paintings bearing Yuri’s style and depicting dream-like scenes with wild yetsonae in various seasons. Vil pointed to the yetsona in snow. “The painting bought that first day. Was too perfect not to.” It certainly was.
