Brilliant - and all-too-brief - visit to The Whitworth today with unexpected bonus treat of hearing Manchester Sacred Harp in good voice. Ever since watching the documentary 'Awake, My Soul' two decades ago I've wanted to experience Sacred Harp live and it did not disappoint 馃憦

And I'm somewhere to Richard's left! BTW, we don't normally use the term "choir". It's perceived as implying someone is in charge, whereas we take it in turns to lead, and everyone, however inexperienced, is welcome to have a go.
