This photo shows the ingredients in the dressing for Thai beef salad, with fish sauce in the top left, toasted rice powder (needed to be a bit more toasted, but I got impatient!) in the mortar & pestle at top right. Then on the plate in the bottom 2/3 of the photo, clockwise from top, there is a lime cut in half, a head of garlic from the farmer's market, palm sugar pieces, cilantro stems and thai chilis.
A macro close up of a bright pink peony blossom, taken in my backyard. There are three different stages of petals in this photo: the outer ones, splayed open, then a lighter pink set around the center of the blossom and then the curled up center petals that match the outer ones in color. These flowers are just WILD.
