It’s the sixth day of Christmas! Have another bird. It’s a common starling, but it’s probably not named for the fact that much of its plumage looks like bright stars against a dark sky! In fact, ‘starling’ is probably cognate with another bird, ‘tern’. I had no idea they looked like that. Neat!
