"On our end, it really depends. I feel like the best way to get motivated varies a lot between headmates, but when it comes to me and Hazel, it's usually by forcing being with others or talking to others about something we want to do or like. It helps us feel a bit more motivated to push through and work on stuff

Setting yourself goals can work, but it's very hit or miss, it works pretty well for Vendetta and I. Like, writing X words per month, or doing Y thing this week... If it helps, asking a friend to remind you of your goals can help you, but depending on how you are, it can end up making you feel pressured more than motivated

Though motivation tends to pop up more when you are in the middle of something, but during depressive episodes my main issue is actually *starting* what I want to do, and on that front, I think you kind of need to experiment what can work for you, like if being with friends helps, if sitting in a different room helps... Everyone works pretty differently on that front and it takes a while figuring out what works for you and what doesn't

But I think in general the best way to motivate yourself is to have someone give you a push, whether it is asking you to do things for them or with them, reminding you of things you wanted to do as of recent, talking to you about stuff you could do (alone or together)..."
