The jeans were bought with holes in the knees- which my daughter found uncomfortable. I sewed a patch inside the hole and around the outside of the whole I embroidered swirly lines, hearts and birds in purples, yellow, blues and greens.
This is the process of creating a monotype on the press. I have inked the background and now add several stencils that have been painted with different colors. They will be run through the press.

There is a chipmunk sleeping in a burrow. There is a mole in her lair, with candlelight. There are bones buried as well as minerals and crystals. In a hollow tree trunk and a fallen log above ground you see cozy miniature libraries. There are bookshelves and cozy chairs to sit in. There is a painting on the wall. In the distance a girl reads on a blanket in the woods.

This is an outdoor forest living room. There’s a bookshelf between two trees and a plaid couch with a coffee table. On the table is a glass pitcher of water. In front of the bathtub there’s a blanket spread in the grass with flowers in it . A nice woman with a nature headdress emerges from the bushes in the lower left corner of the painting. She holds a towel, headed to the tub. In the right lower corner a bird is perched on a shrub.
It’s sunset in the forest. A room is visible- it’s missing a wall and ceiling so open to the outdoors. One wall is a huge window looking into the woods. It has a wooden floor. There is a single blue velvet chair. On the wall is a black and white painting of a deer. In front of the room in the clearing is an orange office chair, in front of a campfire.
A frog makes ripples in the water as they emerge. Another frog basks in the night air in the shore. A variety of mushrooms glow under moonlight.
Two cats live in a psychedelic pink house. It’s twilight. One looks out across the yard. There’s a colorful shrubbery with a door that’s open- two ghostly cats are slipping out.
A fallen tree is hollowed out and the interior has been remade as a tiny library, with a bookshelf, chair and candles to read by. In front of it there are a variety of mushrooms on the forest floor.

Part of the house is cross sectioned so you can see that the interior is a night sky. Next to the house a fox peeks out from behind a blue bush behind some rocks. There is a large glowing oak tree in the foreground, next to which a woman in her nightgown hovers.

An easel is set up outside with a canvas and a palette next to it. In front of the easel is a sort of geometrically impossible house - that is colorful and outlined in some areas. A white bird flies in front of a black door towards a black bird that is in front of an area of multicolored brushstrokes- they appear as mirror images. The landscape is of green grass and rocks, there is a windswept tree, and behind the hill the house sits on you see a glimpse of the ocean. Despite the abstract qualities of the scene- the canvas on the easel depicts a conventional ocean painting.

A painting of a multi level treehouse at sunset- lower level is a drawing and painting studio. Above that is a meditation room. Crossing a wooden and rope bridge you get to the bedroom, with a a bookcase and a large cozy bed. Upper levels are the library and the plant room.
