WHAT IS THIS? A LATE PRIDE MONTH CHARITY EVENT. Campaign for Southern Equality is an organization that assists the LGBTQ+ community in the southern states by providing funding & training for grassroots organizers/activists in the community, easy access to resources and direct services for queer folk, and organizing response to political threats and motions. One particular program of note that Southern Equality runs is the Trans Youth Emergency Project. This program works on helping families of transgender youth across the U.S. find gender-affirming care by offering logistical support for said families to seek out-of-state healthcare options and travel grants to help pay for the expense of getting there. Given the hellish political climate of the U.S. at this time, I can't think of a better cause to help out with an event like this.
