Me: With Scott Moe being in the national spotlight last week due to his appearance at committee I was curious if your publication might be interested in highlighting the large amount of donations to the Sask Party that oil and gas companies are making?

Response: I think the challenge here is that this qualifies as "dog bites man" news for our readers -- they already know the Sask Party is bought and paid for by the oil industry. But I'll kick it up the chain.

“When was the last time that a private citizen was summoned or subpoenaed by the legislature? I don’t know that that’s ever happened,” Moe said Thursday regarding the NDP’s failed emergency motion to have Grewal appear before the legislative assembly and answer questions about the hotel controversy.

On Monday, Moe committed to a review of the act over the next year but made no specific comment regarding fines against former MLAs.

Speaking after question period, Premier Scott Moe said “you don’t see Mr. Grewal here,” in response to questions about a penalty. When pressed on the message it sends if the former MLA faces no consequences, Moe responded: “Historically, has that ever occurred? Not to my knowledge.”

Moe made the point that Grewal did not run in the recent election.

What are the symptoms?

Early symptoms of whooping cough are similar to a common cold and can last for 1 to 2 weeks. Symptoms may include:

A runny nose.
A fever.
A mild cough.
Apnea in babies. This is a slight pause in breathing.
Later-stage symptoms happen after 1 or 2 weeks and can last for 10 weeks or more. Symptoms include:

Spells of coughing that are rapid and are followed by a "whoop" sound.
Vomiting during or after coughing fits.
Exhaustion after coughing fits.
Recovery from whooping cough can happen slowly. The cough becomes milder and happens less often. Coughing fits can still happen with other respiratory infections.

A woman in Saskatoon was recently admitted to hospital with severe complications related to HIV. She was diagnosed with a rare and life-threatening viral infection, called progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy, that was eating away at her brain’s white matter.

The patient was homeless and struggling with substance use. She was also experiencing active psychosis and paralysis on the left side of her body. Despite her complex medical condition, she was discharged in the middle of the night to a shelter with no open beds. She ended up wandering the streets with no shoes and no jacket in the extreme cold.
