Rain pounds against the concrete, kicking up the sharp, acrid scent of ozone and smoke. The air smells almost electrical. Charged and unstable, like it might split open too. Lightning gashes across the sky, carving the clouds into fractured light. Chan doesn’t move from the doorway. Felix stands just beyond it, his hoodie soaked, water dripping from the ends of his hair. His hands are shoved into his sleeves, shoulders hunched—not from the cold, but from something quieter. He doesn’t look up. “You gonna let me in?” he asks, voice low. Almost drowned out by the rain. “I…” Chan starts, but Felix doesn’t give him a chance to finish. Just as well. He had nothing to say. “Yeah, I was trying to be polite—I’m coming in.”

"You awake?" Jisung nudges Minho’s bare leg with his foot. Minho hums vaguely, turning his head to meet Jisung’s eyes, heavy-lidded and sleepy. "Barely." Jisung should move. His leg is starting to go numb where Minho’s ankle is hooked over it, and the room is too warm, and there’s an empty chicken box threatening to slide off the table. There are only a handful of people Jisung can be this quiet with. Fewer who don’t make him feel like he has to earn the silence by filling it. Minho has always been the exception — sprawled into his space like he belongs there, taking up room Jisung never minds giving him. Jisung swallows, throat suddenly dry. The movie fades further into background noise, leaving just the quiet hum of the air conditioning and the gentle pulse of his own heartbeat. "Wanna call it a night?" "No." Minho’s voice is low, almost a murmur. He holds Jisung’s gaze a beat too long before a smile curves slowly over his lips. "I’m comfortable."

Jisung keeps breathing with Minho, syncing up without meaning to. Jisung thinks about tomorrow — the open door, the conversation he promised — and his stomach tilts, fear and relief riding the same line. If he says it out loud, everything changes. If he doesn’t, he breaks. He chokes on both truths and chooses the smaller one: look into my eyes; don’t come yet. He can do that. He can follow. He can be what he’s told to be. Straight is a story he knows how to tell. Minho is a fact he can’t stop touching.
Minha is sprawled across the opposite end of the couch like a threat. One arm lies slung across the cushions behind her, her body loose with satisfaction, her legs open just enough to make Jisung feel the jump of her own pulse between her thighs. Her shirt is rumpled all over, wrinkled where Jisung fisted it, neckline tugged off-center. Her long hair is tousled into soft disarray, and her mouth—God—her mouth is kiss-pink and swollen, glossy from spit. The color in her cheeks only sharpens cheekbones a bright flush painted high under her eyes. She looks gorgeous like this. Kissed well and debauched. The kind of pretty that makes Jisung want and panic at the exact same time. Between her legs, she’s shamelessly wet, fingertips gliding over herself in a way that feels slow on purpose. The sparse black hair there only makes Jisung ache to put her mouth on her.
