First tournament I played Zetter in, too.
Upon testing, I found out that the adapter isn't at fault but the port. All those years of tugging is wearing down the port to a point where I can freely spin it around by pinching my fingers around the metal bits and twist it! TL;DR I have to fix my controller again. Though, alternatively, I could also hang myself with the cord.
