The dodecahedron is attached to a mechanical arm which moves it around. every time it moves a blue, green and red flashy light takes an image of the object, which is compiled on a pc screen.

A dodecahedron – a 12-sided 3D shape – made of greyish metal. It is about 50mm in size. Each face has a circular hole of different sizes, some of which have concentric incised circles around them. Each corner of the object has a small circular knob. The dodecahedron is nearly complete, missing only one side.
