The main difference between the Uninitiated that discover the supernatural and the ones who don’t are they are famously incurious or revisionary. They see what they see, absorb it and, rather than accepting it, they make an explanation for why it was something else. It is by far harder to choose to accept the world as it is rather than the world as we want it to be. Like the first and second look where you first see the world as it is and then, secondly, change it to fit your desires and beliefs; there is no supernatural reason why Pathless, Art Wielders, and Glimpses aren’t discovered beyond the very mundane reason that people don’t pay attention to minorities they view as irrelevant. Is it any surprise that the same world that thinks "normal" is a virtue worth preserving and even defending over and against the weird would put such uncomfortable facts like the supernatural in a box to be ignored? “So what if it hurts people right? “It won’t happen to me” they say. The powerful rarely see beyond themselves whether they be Uninitiated, Art Wielder, or Pathless. Some of them probably believe it is in the powerful’s best interest that the supernatural not become wider knowledge. Why? Because then they’re a problem and the powerful of both sides would prefer that didn’t happen because responsibility is anathema to power and wealth. And so, in the end it’s not a conspiracy. It’s merely apathy and neglect manifest as a knife upon the throats of the vulnerable.
