This group, which is led by the notoriously bigoted, hate-spewing Franklin Graham, came at a time when our city couldn’t in good conscience turn away any offer of help. That time has passed. Their continued presence here is an affront to our values of inclusion, and is painful for all New Yorkers who care deeply about the LGBTQ community.

Remember to check in on your friends, family, and neighbours to make sure they are safe. Canada Day Road Closures Getting around downtown on Canada Day will be complicated with numerous road closures and parking restrictions, especially near Parliament Hill, the Supreme Court of Canada and LeBreton Flats. Plan your route ahead of time and expect delays. For the most current road conditions, visit the City’s interactive traffic map and select both the ‘Events’ and ‘Incidents’ fields. OC Transpo service will run on a special schedule with extra service on busy routes throughout the day and into the evening. Para Transpo will be running a holiday service. This means regular bookings will be cancelled. Transit is free on Canada Day! Fare gates at stations will be open. Don’t buy fare from a ticket machine! Free service starts at 3 am on Wednesday, July 1 and ends on Thursday, July 2 at 3 am.
