arimia @arimiadev.com · Jun 15 in good news, the popular upcoming list visibility being replaced by the personalized calendar has, from what I've heard from other devs, been a visibility huge boom—much more so than popular upcoming did for the average indie. the personal calendar is now on the front page of steam for users.

Holy crap!!! Really nice to see something that ISN’T enshittification for once
I was pretty skeptical when other devs were bemoaning the popular upcoming list being changed since, for a lot of indies, it didn't matter much if you couldn't get high on it before release and even if you could it was typically only for a few hours. it was a boost, sure, but needed reworking.
this post informed me of it's existence and that IS neat, I do wish I could somehow blacklist tags purely from it specifically though, if only because visual novel overlap with gacha games and eroge in general is a bit annoying because I dislike the former and dont want alerts on the latter lol
