But we will soon see what AI experts coined as “The Great Dislocation” as swaths of white collar workers lose employment due to AI driven advances. At this point, without interventions like UBI (which is infeasible to support displaced knowledge workers) we will have a massive increase in job seekers looking for any source of employment to support their families, even going back to entry level and labor jobs. Just wait for the the displaced paralegal or MBA graduate to be in competition for work at Tim Hortons. Businesses will have the cheapest labour in decades as many stuggle to survive. The best off countries will the one ones with high resource bases and low populations. Canada is well positioned.
