[A screenshot of a 500 Songs bonus episode] As we enter into the 1960s proper, we start to reach a point where in order to tell the story I'm telling, I have to leave out major artists who don't fit the narrative. While for the 1950s I've covered almost every major artist in the main podcast, for the sixties there are simply so many people who were big that it's going to be impossible to cover everyone. Today's Patreon episode looks at a group who, in terms of commercial success at least, almost certainly deserve to have a spot in the podcast, but who just don't fit into the narrative -- though if things go to plan they will be making a cameo appearance in about two years, in an episode about a very different band. So today, let's take a look at the Four Seasons, and "Sherry":

These reports began to be countered by literature that claimed that there was no widespread demand for CSAM and that fathers were at risk of false allegations. An exemplar of this counter-scholarship is Stanley's (1988) article "The child porn myth," which claimed that the production and distribution of CSAM in the United States were "virtually eliminated" by the late 1970s (p. 295) and that efforts to investigate and prosecute child sexual exploitation are proceeding on "little or no evidence" (p. 297). He claimed that fathers were being prosecuted for CSAM offenses for taking innocent photos of their children in the bath or for naked photos that children make of themselves. Stanley would later be charged and convicted of CSAM production on a commercial scale (Cheit, 2014, p. 166).
