Bio on hockey player Blake Monroe from 1999: Info Blake Monroe is the current captain of the Baltimore Dragons. Monroe played form the age of 16 to 17 in the NYHL (New York Hockey League) where he broke every single season offensive record in the league, this caught the attention of AHA (American Hockey Association) scouts and very team wanted the opportunity to draft the new allstar and the Louisville Kings would get that chance when they drafted Monroe 1st overall in the 1996 AHA draft. Monroe helped bring the struggling Louisville Kings to one of the top 4 teams in the league, and the next year helped them win the 1998 Veterans Cup the last one ever awarded. Blake Monroe would sign with the Baltimore Dragons on May 11th 1999.
