Hickory Ground, or Oce Vpofv, is a historic Muscogee (Creek) Nation tribal capital and state-registered archeological site on the National Register of Historic Places located in Wetumpka, Alabama. This culturally and religiously significant site includes a ceremonial ground, council house, plaza, and ancestral burial grounds containing funerary objects. Justice for Hickory Ground is essential to rectify the injustices committed against the Muscogee (Creek) people and their ancestral lands. The desecration of this site for commercial gain, withour the consent of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation or thr Hickory Ground tribal town, represents a profpund violation of their cultural and spiritual heritage. Achieving justice for Hickory Ground requires holding those responsible accountable, restoring the site's sanctity, and returning all remains and artifacts to their rightful resting placed. This will reinforce the importance of respecting Indigenous rights and protecting sacred lands from future exploitation.
