Mr Robot @atari8bit.net · Sep 9 Is it just me or is it really hard to keep up with all the conversations in all the channels in all the servers in discord? I'm new and still at the watch and learn phase of using it and it's like a never ending stream of messages!

You obviously never hung out on IRC enough.
This is why I have the majority of the ones I’m in muted and at least on my phone have it so it silently posts to notification center but doesn’t proc an audible alert or pop up on screen. Because yeah, you’ll never be able to use your phone again. It’s madness.
I think it depends a lot on the servers you’re on. Some of the ones with fewer channels are much easier to manage. Once you can let go of the feeling you need to be across everything all the time it becomes much easier.
