Eyry wiggling her ears. Eyry is a kossith from Dragon Age. She's enormously tall at seven foot eight, and heavily muscled. She has horns, hers very prominent with bone sockets supporting them starting from her brow. The natural horn, dark brown, only extends about six inches from her skull, and the horns are extended with prostheses. Here her horns are practically short though still subtly protective. They're gold and amethyst and follow the curve of her head a few inches off the surface, and end in golden tips a few inches at about the level of the base of her skull. Her ears are fairly small but pointy even for a kossith, and flared out to the sides. Her freckle-dappled skin is naturally a pale gray though it darkens and browns slightly in the sun. Her hair is an ashy white-gray, something like what you'd call an undercut on a human head.
Van is a handsome late-20's man, here in just a tank top which shows the usually hidden upper arm tattoos and hints of chrome at the neck and chest. His beard is more of a trimmed stubble and shortish hair is neatly combed back at the top, buzzed close at the sides.
An old map of the Nordics, broadly, referencing England in the bottom left corner with much of the left side taken up by the North Sea and North Atlantic, while a somewhat but not entirely accurate rendition of the Baltic and the lands surrounding it. There are meridians listed but this is not a navigational map. Lots of cities and smaller towns are named, and there are depictions of local flora and fauna as well as the main livelihoods especially for the more distant and exotic regions. Delightful details include the several locations in Iceland simply labeled 'chaos' that appear to be some type of volcanic activity, as well as a bunch of cool sea monsters like a boar-like whale among the less exotic ones like a marten (which is identified as such!)
