An excerpt from our piece “and still, you carried on.” You wake up to a world that rewards violence more than conscience. You eat your eggs as a baby starves to death. You drop ice into your water and think of your missing neighbors.... for whom ice means something else entirely. You go to work You read attachment files as you watch democracy fade, headlines vanish, evidence disappear... and you think how easy it could be to delete files when you're the one in power.. Your heart breaks...and still, you clock in for another day

Forced isolation wasn't an accident. It was policy. For disabled and neurodivergent people, being cut off from community has never been just a personal misfortune. It's been systemic, deliberate, and deeply rooted in historical practices of segregation, institutionalization, and erasure. Neurodivergent people today still face the consequences of systems built to isolate and those systems didn't disappear. They evolved.
