This thread is meant to educate, not to tell specific aro/ace people that the way they use these labels is "wrong." Both of these labels are umbrella terms, and contain spectrum of people.

The definitions I give are general, and do not apply to everyone who uses these labels.

I wrote this thread to address misconceptions I hear when people (who aren't aromamtic or asexual) talk about the community as a whole."
