Ink and Nightmare together in a beige background. They both wear matching circlets, and Ink is standing in a pose reminiscent of the resting pose of a dancer, with a hand on their chest. Nightmare has a hand on Ink's shoulder, and is smiling as he looks at them, a tentacle draped over his own shoulder and over his arm and a third is circling Ink, although not touching them. Nightmare also has Ink's vials on his belt, every color but red, cyan and purple there.
Ink looks down while smiling menacingly at Nightmare, who looks nervous. Ink says, "are you listening to me?" Nightmare is shown just below in another vignette, his eye cut off. He's blushing and sweating slightly as he says, smiling, "oh, every word."
Ink looks down at Nightmare, both arms on the arms of the throne. He leans down, grabbing Nightmare's collar (a blue paint vial) before he suddenly pulls him forward by it. Nightmare looks surprised, but keeps smiling. Ink says, "Awww. I don't think you're quite getting it."
Ink is looking back, half-crossing his arms while having a finger pressed against his cheek. He's saying, "Y'know, you're getting... Bold". Nightmare looks back at him, bored. He's sitting on a blue throne. He hums, attention piqued.
Nightmare is nuzzling Ink's neck while they're hugging. Ink is grabbing Nightmare's shoulder with one hand while the other is extended behind Nightmare's head. Nightmare is hugging Ink by the waist; his tentacles are out. Two of the tentacles are reaching towards the pair while the other is holding Ink's scarf. They're smiling.
Nightmare has a tentacle on his brow, embarrassed yet exasperated. He says, "Why, I thought it was pretty fitting. Because..." He reappears on the second panel, his face obscured except for his crinkled eye and his smile as he stalks closer. He says, "I could eat you right up." Ink appears, smiling as he jolts, his eyelights are twin exclamation marks that are pink and yellow. Tentacles that blend into the frame are reaching out for him.
Nightmare is looking away, embarrassed and somewhat exasperated. He says, "Yes. It was fairly recent, so I'm not exactly surprised that you forgot about it." Ink is looking at him, smiling with his eyes half-closed. Nightmare continues speaking, the text blurs in the background of the lower panel, where you can see a faceless Ink in the foreground and a faceless Nightmare in the background. He says, "You chose mine, so it was natural for me to choose yours."
Ink is reading a paper while Nightmare is looking at him. Ink is blushing and sweating lightly. Ink lifts his head up to look at Nightmare, his eyelights are question marks and one of his eyebrows is lifted. Ink looks down and to the side, smiling
