There's a a quote from Stephen Jay Gould: "I am somehow less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops." And I feel that as we have these conversations around AI. I am somehow less interested in building "superintelligence" or the convolutions of AI models than the near certainty that there are people all around the world who are so brilliant--there's so many "general intelligences" out there--that don't have an opportunity to shine because they don't have adequate nutrition and food.
