You should learn basic code things first (what is an if statement, what is a variable, what do loops do etc), then play around with the language the game was written in (Minecraft = Java*) so you understand how it writes and reads, then you can get into modding. If we're talking MC modding, I'd highly suggest also learning the basics of OOP and why it will make your modding easier if used correctly. GLHF Bon.
