This spring in effort to manage significant traffic congestion and parking challenges during peak periods, a three-year paid parking pilot will be in effect for the Sulphur Mountain area. What visitors need to know: 📅 The paid parking pilot will be in effect from May 15 - October 12, 2026. Daily, 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. 💲 The paid parking rate is $17.50 per vehicle, per day (in addition to a valid national park pass) • Paid parking applies to both the upper and lower Parks Canada parking lots. • Visitors can pay at on-site machines provided. There is no requirement to display proof of purchase on your dashboard. • Failure to pay may result in a Notice of Parking Violation, payable at the payment machines in the parking lots. 🚍 Planning ahead and taking transit remains the best way to access the area. Consider taking Roam Public Transit to the Sulphur Mountain area this Summer!
