When icebergs melt, they release nutrients into the water. This can fuel blooms of tiny, plant-like creatures called phytoplankton. However, Laura and her team found evidence of huge phytoplankton blooms around A76a, but surprisingly no blooms at all around A23a. 🧵2/7
