it's because fig is on a pds which you had an account on that didn't get deactivated after migrating. the reference pds (?) has a bug where you can't reply to active accounts on the same pds if that's not their actual pds. easiest way to deactivate them is using pdsmoover.com/turn-off

I keep hearing about this issue, and I wonder if this really is something not fixable?…
migration tools are supposed to deactivate your old account in the process but not all of them do this, or not in all cases. this is a bug
