Our dog of 14yrs a Cholate Lab/Red Border Collie, Maggie May, contracted Cancer her last yr as my husband is fighting Prostate Cancer & Parkinsons. Never left his side. Followed him, slept by him, loved him. 2 old warriors in battle she recognized each others pain, worry & gave stregnth, love. ○

Oh wow. I’m sorry you are all going through this. My previous dog, Nora, a beautiful St Bernard helped me through cancer. She never left my side either. And I think she knew I was sick before I did. Your husband and Maggie May are so lucky to have each other. You all are. Healing thoughts to you. ❤️

I’m so so sorry. There is no other love like that. My soul dog Frannie (Border collie/Staffie mix) contracted cancer her last year (at 11) as well. We did & went everywhere together. She let me know she really wanted to stay, but just couldn’t. She kissed me gently before she went to sleep.
