I'm still trying to come up with new ways to help share everyone's work, to get people connected in the wider community, to see what we can do thrive here. There are times I falter, where time blindness and executive dysfunction, and guilt, mean that I might step away from this account longer than I'd like, and lord knows I want to keep up consistency if I can. But there's also times where people tell me how I'm doing incredible things for this community, and how thankful they are that I'm around and doing this. Just this week someone even told me I was the reason they decided to take their HRT that morning, in the wake of everything awful going on in the world right now. For people to think that what I'm doing is important to them, to know I'm impacting peoples lives like this, absolutely floors me. I could not be happier. I could talk more about all I've done in battletech spaces, but who cares? This was never about me, not *just* about me. This is about all of you. All you wonderful, wonderful people. You've done so much for me, and for each other, and I couldn't imagine where I'd be without all of you. Thank you, so, so much. Happy 1k, everyone. Here's to a brighter future. Blimp." And I just want to say, thank you so much, all of you, for helping this funny little page thrive. Yesterday, we hit 1000 followers, an absolutely incredible milestone to hit. When I started this page, it only really existed to mirror a matching one over on twitter, and at that point both existed more or less just to advertise a fan project and nothing more. But when that project was briefly cancelled and I was no longer on the team, I nearly let this page fade away. Only after a few kind messages and an overnight to think did I decide I needed to continue on. Battletech needs queer spaces. It has always had open arms for us, but in so many places, this simply reflects tolerance of our presence rather than open encouragement for us to be involved. We need communities where we can thrive. I would not be so deep into this wonderful franchise as I am if not for the few queer spaces that exist, providing me with comradery I hadn't ever found in fandom before. This was *integral* to me sticking around and being more than a passing fan of MechWarrior games who occasionally stares longingly at the miniatures from afar. And if these spaces would prove so important for me, surely they're important for every other queer fan, right?"
