Steelquill is a robot raptor character with 3 eyes and a dreamcatcher! Cinder plays as them in one of my roleplay. On some days he's a scary dinosaur that bites people and on other days he's silly and likes to play retro games and collect plushies. >vv< very nice
The "depth" tiles are tiles that surround walls and floors. They're considered pits just like any other pit, but it's just graphically there to make it seem like a long drop. I'm contemplating if it looks good, or if it needs to be maybe be changed somehow or removed entirely. (The halls here can also be bridges that do not have the "depth" tiles intentionally. I really wanted to make it feel like you're walking on bridge over a valley lol >vv<)
The Explorer Magnamalo and Tobi-Kadachi stop to apologize to a shivering Agnaktor who sits in a puddle of lava. The Blizzard Orb has cooled off Fireblight Cave and made it snow, resulting in some unhappy monsters...
The Explorer Magnamalo uses a Blizzard Orb: a type of Mystery Charm that has the power to change the weather! The orb explodes into a rainbow light before taking effect. Now the volcano will cool off a bit, and we won't have to fear the fire monsters as much! ... hang on a minute, isn't Magnamalo a fire monster..?
The Explorer Magnamalo and Tobi-Kadachi are at it again, this time exploring Fireblight Cave, a rocky place full of bubbling lava streams! The two of them are looking for a monster who's been making the volcano unstable. Could it be the lava-proof Lavasioth ahead? Probably not! It's a mystery!
Alarmmaster Rattles the Najarala on Mt. Rescue, alongside the horn they blow every morning. Are they grumpy or is that just their normal face? Now that's the real Monster Mystery.

The explorer Mizutsune and Barioth are caught in an avalanche on Iceblight Mountain! They catch a ride on some friendly Beotodus, but they're barely keeping up! Good thing Elder Bazel swoops in to save them before they become snowmons! Be more careful next time!

The Explorer Barioth and Mizutsune climbed Iceblight Mountain and now sit above the clouds! The only other thing up here is a brick castle, the Cloud Palace.... now to find a way back down...

An explorer Barioth and Mizutsune. The Mizutsune rests on Barioth's back while they keep guard. Barioth is covered in patches of ice, making up a sort of Ice Armor. The two are in front of a campfire, resting on the side of the snowy Iceblight Mountains at night.

The explorer Espinas and Odogaron head through White Beach during a thunderstorm! Some monsters in the area seem to enjoy the thunder... Stay out of the sky and water and you might make it back home safely!

The Great Izuchi Yasei and his friends Chef Glavenus, Alarmmaster Rattles the Najarala, and Saisho the Tetranadon. While Yasei and Glavenus seem happy to be there, Rattles is going Saisho a one-sided staredown. They don't seem to like each other much!
The explorer Magnamalo and Tobi-Kadachi relax in the Flower Fields. The flowers are comfy and the wind is refreshing, what a great day! (If you don't get hay fever)
A Whitewater Plesioth spawns next to the team on a new floor. It'll take the player a good 5 seconds to look over everyone and find the suspicious monster among us. >vv>

Explorer's Notes will let you see all the monsters and locales you've encountered/unlocked. It's great for collectors and quality of life :3 I hope you'll enjoy using it! I said it before, but this was a planned feature for Chapter 2 but I had to cut it from the scope because of time- Now it's finally almost here to stay! I really can't wait to see this automatically grow as we get more mons and locales >vv< gunna be so satisfying

A comic featuring the Explorers Zenith the Espinas and Vamp the Odogaron. They visit a scary old manor while going trick-or-treating and end up finding a mysterious dungeon instead. The scariest part is that they owe the guild 90% of the candy they get!

The explorer Nargacuga and Farunokku are exploring a corn maze. It's not like their typical locales, so maybe rushing through the winding pathways isn't such a good idea! Disco the Farunokku does anyway, leaving their leader to ironically chase behind to keep up! Someone's having a bit too much fun... you know you're not looking for a staircase in here, right?
The Farunokku and Nargacuga explorers, Disco and Cuga, are held up by Disco's distractions. They've found a Sleeptoad in a hollow log... You can say hi, but then we have to move on! Serpentine going to an amusement park. Featuring Cinder's Venomari "Sizzle", Haz' Constrictai "Phillip", my Hypnobrai "Tomato Soup", and Zeo's Anacondrai "Claam B Chowdaar". They are not mascots, fear them!! (Serpentine are from Ninjago. I don't know why every good friend I have inevitably ends up making a recolored snake general after they watch the first two seasons, but hey, that's a curse I'm willing to live with >:3)

Cinder's character Noctis, a silver dragonborn fighter with black markings. Usually he has armor and a sword and shield but he wanted to see a sort of alternate-universe version where he was in a more tribal clan, wearing a skull helmet, bracelets, stuff like that. I replaced his moonstone sword with a moonstone spear too and put him in a jungle :3 Thanks again, Cinder!
Zenith, the Espinas explorer, is sitting in the mud and rain on a dark morning in the Burrow. Their partner, Vamp the Odogaron, notices them staring at their own reflection. Realizing for the first time that something might be wrong, they think about joining them in the rain to give them support. That's Kinship!

Team Danger, led by Zenith the Espinas with their partner Vamp the Odogaron is resting at night. Vamp is laying on their Konchu friend and snoring away while Zenith reads a book in a red lamp's light. It appears to be the same book acquired at the Ancient Archive. Something seems to be weighing on their mind.... Sleep on it, you'll feel better in the morning!

The explorer Magnamalo, Tobi-Kadachi, and Toridlcess of Team Monsties all take the day off, relaxing on the white sands of White Beach, resting in the water, and building sand castles! A nice way to celebrate the last outing's success!

A Great Wroggi in the Deep Woods is afflicted with the unknown ailment that causes monsters to lose their Kinship, becoming Feral. Their blue spirit tapers into the night sky through the canopy. Only some have the power to stop it! Do you have that power? (This is a reference to the recruiting mechanic in Monster Mystery as seen in its video: https://youtu.be/RhN3s_PBDUI?t=159 )
The explorer Espinas and Odogaron of Team Danger are relaxing near a white sandy river found in a purple cave surrounded by green grass. It could be that the locale took the pearly-white sand of the beach nearby, the crystalline walls of the caves, and the lush grass and trees of the forests! Team Balance, complete with explorers Nargacuga and Farunokku, bump into them! The locale's mystery draws in all sorts of exploring attention! Don't get lost..!
The Tobi-Kadachi and Magnamalo explorers are at Master Yasei's dojo (Their Great Izuchi tutor). The Great Izuchi instructs them on how to perform Poison Tail, a signature move of a Rathian that's been drawn upon a scroll. The Tobi Kadachi gets the hang of it, swinging out their tail as it becomes poisonous! Good work, Tobo!
The explorer Farunokku and Nargacuga, alongside their friendly Quematrice, meet with Seltas, Velocidrome, and Great Maccao explorers- and a Guanzorumu to boot! All large monsters big and small have the power to change (or save) the world as long as they try their best! (I'll talk about it more on FA when uploading comes back online, but this piece was inspired by the new stat table generator we made for Monster Mystery, making sure all monsters we add are unique and viable! I'm really proud of that- and this art! ^vv^)
Sparky and Ember play a strategy board game called Cookie Bandits where they move figurines on the board that look strangely like other characters from the treehouse! What could this mean?! Who knows, it just looks comfy to be in a room full of pillows!
Zeo'jiiva looks through binoculars, Kastell mad at them for not sharing, all while Cinder lays in the bush proudly waving his flag in support of Sir Jaggi. The three are snooping on the Jaggi, Zenith the Espinas, and Takaramono all from Monster Mystery, who are apparently their idols... You guys embarrass me -vv-; lmao
A fluffy red kobold-squirrel with a tail that glows brightly. He is goofy, drinks way too much soda a day, and is small. But that's why we love him.
The explorer Espinas, Zenith, is anxiously looking back to their team while holding two books. The menacing black figure of an elder dragon in chains stands in the center of the archive. The figure has two large wings, spikes upon its furred back, and spiky horns curved like a crown. Who's to tell if the Archivist is friend or foe in a place like this? Their hesitation isn't from social anxiety- it's from fear that they're past due!
The explorer Farunokku and Nargacuga (now with special guest Quematrice) take shelter from a sandstorm, finding a flashy yellow flying wyvern in the meantime, a Rey Dau! Naturally, the Farunokku draws upon the thunder to impress them, but regrets it when they're immediately struck by lightning..! Awkward first impressions!
Team Balance, an exploration team of a Nargacuga and Farunokku, head to a savanna-like locale with a bright blue sky. While cooking a meal, they're met with a brute-wyvern with a orangish crest on their head. It's a Quematrice! What a surprise to meet a new friend out in these wilds!
After being split apart, leader with leader and partner with partner, the two exploration teams meet back up in a room that holds the stairs that head deeper into the Ancient Archive. Though the Tobi-Kadachi explorer rushes ahead carefree to meet back up with their Magnamalo friend, the Odogaron feels something drip on them from above! The monsters are walking right under Gigginox!
The explorer Magnamalo and Espinas (leaders of Team Monsties and Team Danger) get lost in a dead-end of the Ancient Archive, an old haunted library that heads deep underground. Upon seeing their reflection in a damaged mirror, the Espinas looks pained. The Magnamalo tries to comfort them in their concern. The figure of a Lost Wyvern, a ghost, peeks around the corner. Could it be what the Espinas saw in their reflection, or are there other worries on their mind?
Cinder lies on the ground, Zeo'jiiva has flopped over them. Kastell has flopped over them. Kecha wacha has flopped over them. Amazing! Together, they represent cookies, chocolate, and marshmallows- smores!
