Read the whole thing, but in a nutshell it's the same thing I generally say: 1) AI training as a process is pretty clearly fair use, and we should all want it to be fair use, because things we agree are good rely on it. 2) Don't fall for trickle-down copyright economics. jacobin.com/2026/06/ai-b...
Curious...I've been working on a short essay on exactly this point. I'll probably abandon it—no doubt Doctorow's version is about 1000x better-reasoned and clearer.
