Hey Devsky! When editing content in an editor like Notion – do you prefer a floating toolbar (see screenshot A) or a fixed toolbar (see screenshot B) Feels like floating toolbars are more modern but I really hate that they jump around a lot when changing the selection.

I think slack's message composer switched over from B to A recently, and they have extremely glitchy positioning pretty frequently lol I'd go for the floating toolbar because formatting I always do via shortcuts, and anything else would be easier to reach, both visually and via cursor (IMO)

Fixed all the way. Consistency is key. I hate toolbars that change based on what you have selected.

Fixed for tools, it’s nice to always see what I’m working with and access them consistently. Floating for contextual modifications, like changing or removing a link you’re focused on.

Fixed for the UX. And _maybe_ floating for some specific actions available for the current selected content (like AI actions or image actions etc.)
