Beacon Bits @beaconbits.app · Jan 6

Today we're introducing some privacy focused features for dropping beacons. 📸 Use Photo Location: You can now use a photo's metadata to drop a beacon at that location. ⏰ Delayed reveal: You can also add an optional delay before your beacon becomes visible (1h, 1d, 1w, or custom)

Delayed beacon is a killer idea, nice. does this also delay posting to bluesky if toggled? Where is that stored/handled in the interim?

We've also added the ability to drop beacons when a devices location services are disabled. These still show up on the map, but are not eligible for achievements, signal capture for repeated visits and some other mini-games that are in the works.

The delayed action is smart

Heya! Tried this out and it (sort of) worked to add a new location using street address. The restaurant wasn’t in the database, so the name ends up being Dundas street. Another feature request: display what I wrote and let me edit it in the final “post to bluesky” step.
