selfishly you never know how many more of these tours you are going to work on. That is why I was furious and upset. But thousands of England fans who i have spent most evenings talking to have invested their life savings in coming out here. their feeling is not disappointment. they are angry and deserve better. with the soft dismissals and dropped catches they have watched a team that is so ill-disciplined it's embarrassing. The ECB now owes it to England's supporters to come up with some explanations. Jonathan Agnew, BBC Sport column.

Becky Downie: This year has presented me with another set of challenges beyond what any athlete should have to endure. I've been keeping quiet on the situation when the reality is I've been struggling immensely to even access adequate training facilities. In the middle of 3 major surgeries I was left in a position with no coaches, no training gym and 8 months down the line I'm still in a position where trying to access the correct equipment/facilities is hindering preparations for the 2026 competitive season. I'm not sure what 2026 will hold. I know with all my heart I never wanted to leave the sport this way and I know I have tried my absolute best to handle every obstacle thrown my way with grace. I'll forever be proud of that. I hope 2026 brings some happiness back and if I can find solutions I'd love to be back on the competition floor. To everyone who has shown kindness to me this year thank you. It means more than you'll ever know!
