I think it’s good advice for anyone that senses an undertone depending on setting. (Meaning, is it safe enough to do so ? or are you physically outnumbered?) Safety first. Be safe.

Another very good phrase to keep at hand - for the same effect of putting the onus on the REAL asshole in the moment - is "For what reason....." - For what reason would you say that to my daughter? For what reason did you decide to take that action? Etc.
Sad AF we have to first sense 'undertone', especially in the madness of misogony that is to come. 😡 It really ain't life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness FOR ALL when some of us have to live in fear of angering aggressive, insecure males.
