Lyscombe ranger for Dorset Wildlife Trust (views on here are my own). Interested in all things nature conservation, but especially birds, botany, butterflies, coppicing and rewilding.

A view of the main SSSI area at Lyscombe. Steep slopes forming a horseshoe shape, surrounding the lower fields are SSSI. The lower, flatter fields (known as Lyscombe bottom) are not part of the SSSI but do have a fantastic array of wildflowers including hundreds of bee orchids.
