Despite the loss, Oregon looked good. And that’s taking into account that the Steel brought fewer players than the Cascades; it bodes well for them that they were able to perform so well despite the smaller numbers. The Soar went 0-6 last year in their inaugural season in the WUL. They played close games against Bay Area Falcons and Colorado Alpenglow, and performed better in their second face off against Tempest than the first. So narrowing the gap here to a couple points – albeit in a shorter period than a real game – is a good sign.
