The email says: To address your main concern, we can confirm that there is no new policy being introduced to restrict or prohibit full-sized bikes on our trains. This has been clarified internally, and customers are still permitted to travel with full-sized cycles in line with existing guidelines. Regarding the straps, these have been removed as they were located within the designated wheelchair space. This area must remain fully available for passengers who require it, and fixtures such as straps could limit accessibility or flexibility for its primary purpose. At present, there are no plans to introduce a ban on full-sized bikes. The intention is not to discourage cycle carriage, but to ensure that priority spaces remain as accessible and adaptable as possible for those who need them most. I understand your concerns around safety and the practicalities of storing cycles without straps, as well as your wider points about accessibility at stations and how this impacts usage of onboard spaces.
