Pretty cool concept. I've been running into the same issues you described. I'm now trying to solve this via a CLI tool that's supposed to provide LLM assisted search and organisation (agent moving stuff around). I just want to jot stuff down quickly but still be able to find it and make sense of it.
Here are some early mocks. Fleshing out a "sticky mode" and "notebook mode" to switch between the feel of Apple Stickies and Apple Notes with a toggle
the capture vs. retrieval tension is so real. most apps optimize for one and treat the other as an afterthought. the best capture happens when the tool gets out of your way entirely — no decisions, just dump the thought and move on.
Love the ideas behind it! I feel the same struggles. With that said, not sure I love the dependence on Notion. Would have liked an integrated solution (which is a larger scope of course). Are you planning cross platform? Lots of good note taking apps are Apple ecosystem only
Sounds interesting to me. I do personally feel the same friction you mentioned with most note taking apps
my EXACT PROBLEM right now is this one. I love apple notes because it's EASY to jot down notes I hate how I just loose them all. I love obsidian way-of-being — md, addons, etc — but it's not as easy to just note it down and search it later. I'd HAPPILY pay for such software — but there's a caveat
