How do stores make money during Black Friday? Loss leaders and bundling are two ways stores try to convince you to spend more money. What makes BRAND NAMES more EXPENSIVE? Brands spend money on marketing to help promote their products. This can include ads, celebrity spokespersons, jingles… even the placement on store shelves! That all adds up, leading to a product that costs more money than generics like me!
