In 1981, Reagan fired 11,345 air traffic controllers who walked off the job. The logic held: professional judgment required job protection, and they abandoned the job. Schedule Policy/Career inverts that logic entirely. 🧵

Pardon me--we agree about schedule F changes but using Reagan's union-busting efforts as a "positive example" reflects a serious lack of understanding of the history of that event

Effective March 2026, ~50,000 federal employees in policy-influencing roles can be reclassified as at-will. No MSPB appeal rights. The category includes NIH program officers and grants management staff.
